The giving of a Christian is motivated by all that God is and all that He has given us. In fact, we believe that everything we have is a gift given to us by God (Psalm 24:1). Further, God’s generosity has been poured-out upon us in His Son, Jesus, who has satisfied our deepest needs (John 6:35).
Because of this, the followers of Jesus give (Acts 2: 42-47 and 2 Cor. 9:7) – that the needs of others would be met (spiritually, physically, emotionally, etc.) and that the church would be equipped to respond as a refuge of God’s grace in our community for all people.
